Established for over 30 years, Peoples Trust for Endangered Species operates worldwide to protect endangered species through effective conservation strategies informed by scientific assessment. The loss of biodiversity worldwide has a direct impact on all of us: it affects world food supplies and water availability; it limits the search for new medicines; it increases our vulnerability to natural distasters and heightens the effects of global warming. Our work has never been more urgent. In the last hundred years tigers have declined by 95%, hawksbill sea turtles by 80%. Closer to home, water voles have plummeted by 90% since the 1980s and dormice are now extinct across half their original range. We are helping tigers in Sumatra, hawkbill sea turtles around South America, water voles and dormice in the UK and many other species besides. We fulfill our mission by: - funding and commissioning conservation projects that assess the problem and put effective solutions into place - leading practical conservation in the field on priority species and habitats - managing our nature reserves to protect their endangered species - tracking our progress through careful monitoring of wildlife populations - educating, inspiring and involving people in conserving endangered species. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Conway Education Centre – Transforming Lives through Learning.Conway Education Centre is a unique community-based centre providing educational opportunities to the community in a safe and supportive environment.  Over 750 adult learners per year find their first steps back to education at Conway.People from all walks of life, including those who left school without qualifications, older people, newcomers and refugees, attend classes to improve their skills, gain qualifications, meet new people and improve their confidence and chances of employment.Conway Education Centre is a hive of activity; a range of accredited and unaccredited courses, workshops on complementary therapies and different cultures, English language classes and a homework support club for refugee families are all accommodated in the centre. Young and old attend to improve their education, skills and confidence. Qualified tutors deliver courses, volunteers provide support and there is always a cup of tea/coffee and a listening ear.  Please donate to support our cause and help us to make a difference, to transform lives.Conway Education Centre has been providing community education since 1982. The centre has an excellent reputation for providing quality education and tailored learner support. ‘Kate’ who was made redundant at 51, started IT classes after sitting at home for two years.  “My confidence was at an all-time low and my doctor had put me on anti-depressants. My daughter suggested I do a computer class at Conway. I started as a nervous absolute beginner, the tutor was so supportive. I now have an IT qualification and am applying for jobs.”‘Ryan’, 37, was put at the back of the class and left school without any qualifications. “I believed I was stupid, I had problems with reading and writing, couldn’t even help my kids with their homework. I tried courses at the local college, but didn’t feel comfortable among mostly young people.  Then I started English and Maths courses at Conway and it has changed my life!”We ask for your donation to replace our ten year-old IT server, which supports all of our students' learning and our organisation.
