Field Studies Council, FSC, is an environmental education charity providing informative and enjoyable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to discover, explore, and understand the environment. We believe the more we understand about and take inspiration from the world around us the more we can appreciate its needs and protect its diversity and beauty for future generations. Sadly many young people never get the change to spend time outdoors or learn about the wonderful natural world that surrounds us. FSC Kids Fund helps us provide support for groups of disadvantaged young people to visit new places, have new experiences, learn more about the natural world and have fun!‘One child reminded me of how they never thought that they would have been able to climb up that hill in Yorkshire but they did -so now they know they can do anything!!’Your donation will help us give more young people a Kids Fund experience. - thank you! St Mary’s has a culture of continuous improvement where the principles of shared decision making and team-work are alive. We are committed to working together to guide and support each of the students in our care to reach the highest levels of development academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. The PTA at Richard Challoner is made up of parents and teachers, and our main aim is to support the school in providing the high quality and well rounded education that our children deserve. We achieve this by fundraising for equipment and resources. Over the coronavirus pandemic, the income the school has been able to generate for itself through lettings has been reduced by around £200,000, and when you combine that with budget cuts in recent years, and extra expenses enforced by the pandemic, our school is under severe financial pressures. Thank you for taking the time to read this page, and for your continued support. In the past we have been able to refurbish science laboratories, provide ICT equipment, and have sports facilities.
