George Green was a remarkable mathematical physicist in the early 19th century who made many discoveries about such things as light, sound, electricity and magnetism. You can visit his windmill - which has been restored to working order - and the adjacent interactive Science Centre. Following the loss of it's City Council funding, the windmill is now run by the Green's Windmill Trust.
