(UK, 1125751) The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women was set up in 2008 in response to the realisation that, with the right support, women can overcome the many challenges they face and play an important role in the economies and societies in which they work and live. Our vision is a world where women have equal opportunities and the capability, confidence and capital necessary to establish and grow businesses, resulting in a brighter future for the women themselves and their communities as a whole. To this end, the Foundation supports women entrepreneurs in developing and emerging economies, providing them with the skills, technology, networks and access to finance that they need to become successful small and growing business owners, so that they can contribute to their economies and have a stronger voice in their societies. The Foundation works in over 80 countries worldwide, and is run by a dedicated team based in London, overseen by the Board of Trustees.
