(UK, SCO42295) Friends of Pebane: The story so far…… Pebane is a district in Zambesia region in Mozambique. Zambesia is the second poorest region in Mozambique which is the sixth poorest country in the world. Maternal and infant death rates are amongst the highest in the world. We aim to help the community of Pebane in several areas: We visit Pebane each year to work with local people on practical projects. We pay for our own international travel and stay with local people to reduce costs. In between visits we fundraise for projects. 100% of all monies raised are spent on the hospital and community projects.
