Nakara School is a modern educational institution with 100% wireless connectivity and Interactive Whiteboards in every teaching area. There are 600 students enrolled from Pre-School to Year 6 and enrolments are increasing each year. Nakara has a diverse multicultural population with well over 30 nationalities represented in the school. The staff comprises of a Principal, 2 Assistant Principals, 20 classroom teachers, 6 Specialist Teachers and 15 support staff. The Hospital School, located at Royal Darwin Hospital, is also governed by Nakara School and caters for all school-aged children admitted to any ward in the hospital.
Doncaster Primary School (Doncaster PS) is located in Council Street, Doncaster in the City of Manningham. The school still occupies the original site, situated in the midst of the Doncaster Hill development, between the City of Manningham Offices and Westfield Shoppingtown. Significant building development completed in recent years has resulted in outstanding modernised facilities. The school has now been totally rebuilt in four stages. The school has developed close links with the City of Manningham, having four usage agreements including an Artists Fence built with a Community Grant, a staff carpark, a bike path and a land swap, which will provide enhanced play areas. Links with the Doncaster Community Church employ a School Chaplain, run a Kids Hope Mentoring Program, Food for Families and share facilities.
PIPS, was established in 2003 following the suicides of 14 young people under the age of 18 in an area of North Belfast. PIPS are a community based organisation offering a care team service and family support for those bereaved by suicide.
African Vision Malawi is a non-profit charity supporting over 3,000 orphans in the rural areas of the Lilongwe and Dowa districts in Malawi, Africa. NASS is only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a painful, progressive rheumatic disease which mainly affects the spine. An estimated 200,000 people live with AS in the UK. Our 90+ branches across the UK offer regular exercise to anyone with AS.
Together As One provides a drop-in for people with mental health issues but also welcomes anyone suffering from loneliness or social exclusion.
