We reach out to each other, In love and understanding. With tolerance and patience. We are a community; we do not grieve alone. Butterflies is inclusive, everyone is welcome. We are not a religious organisation or connected to any other charity. We are here for bereaved families and individuals who need care and support following the passing of someone special in their lives. Butterflies is here to transform lives through the provision of accessible bereavement care and support from the age of 16 and over. This includes arrange of services that meet the different needs of the bereaved community now and in the future. Grief is as unique as you are, and as individual as a fingerprint. Each person will be affected in his or her own way because everyone is different – even in the same family. Each had their own relationship with the person who has died, their own experience of other losses and differing levels of support available – we are here to support them. Bereaved people, even those who have witnessed the peaceful death of a loved one, often need to tell their story repeatedly, and at that important part of transferring the experience they endured into a memory, instead of reliving it like a parallel reality every time they think about it – we are here to encourage open discussion with all people Butterflies is transforming lives

(UK, EW36148) Browse eventsCommunity-based care and support for adults with a learning disability when and where it matters. Aspire's aim is to provide great services to adults with learning disabilities which enable them to have fulfilling lives. We want the people we support to live, learn and play an active and meaningful role in the local community. Through high quality, person-centred, services we offer people choice so they have greater control and influence over their lives, have a lifestyle which promotes independence and determine, as far as possible, what support they receive and how they spend their time. Aspire provides local services for local people. We are proud to be a Mindful Employer; we recruit locally and buy local wherever possible. We are passionate not only about developing, recognising and rewarding our own staff, but also providing learning opportunities for developing the support workers of the future. To this end Aspire provides apprenticeships, We Care Academy training and work placements for nursing and occupational therapy students. Aspire supports more than 900 adults with a learning disability and their family carers through 3 services: our day services provide a range of opportunities for people to engage in healthy, safe and purposeful daytime activities; our supported living services provide the opportunity for people to live in their own homes or small group settings and our respite/crisis services provide both planned short-stays which enable family carers to have a break from their caring role and emergency stays.
