The P&C aim to promote the interests and facilitate the development and further improvement of Karalee State School. Each year the P&C raises funds that are donated directly to the school through fundraising activities as well as grant applications. Funds are used to purchase items from playground equipment and shade structures to fans and air-conditioning. All fundraising activities rely on time that is given freely by parents and community members. Masjid Bilal has been established since 2006, we started off in a one bedroom flat, above a local chicken and chip shop, with the support from our diverse community. Due to high demand of the local and surrounding community to develop the masjid, we saw an opportunity to purchase and move in to our current location, a previous Church property on Sarum Road. Alhamdulillah, Masjid Bilal has since purchased a 946.5 Sq.M former Delivery Office (below) opposite our current Masjid with the intention of relocating to it. We have now been granted permission to use the Royal Mail Building as a Masjid, and have recently bought land adjacent which has since been tarmacked and is now used as a car park.
