Because of his passion for Sport, belief that all young people should have the opportunity to take part in Sports and appreciation that Haringey Schools needed help to develop School Sports, Burk Gravis, The trust director, established Haringey Sports Development in 1992 using a electric typewriter and with minimal funding from the Tottenham Grammar School Foundation. Today the trust enjoys a high profile across the community Sports sector in London and is viewed externally as a success. The Trust has a strong record of delivering Sports Development in Haringey and neighbouring areas, particularly focusing work on young people. A large part of the work developed by the trust is our volunteer and coach education programme which works in partnership with several major organisations and events in London.
