Pocklington School has been on the same site near York since it was founded in 1514 by lawyer and clergyman John Dolman, for whom the Trust is named. The Foundation is a supportive and caring community rooted in the values of truth, courage and trust. Our approach to learning and development is shaped around the spiritual and physical well-being of each child we educate. We nurture each individual’s potential in a culture that encourages successful learning and creative thinking while rewarding initiative and independence. Our aim is to give pupils the support and freedom they need to flourish into balanced, fully-rounded and confident adults who are inspired for life.
