(UK, 1113203) Browse eventsSt Richard’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for 2½ to 13 year olds. While the school is founded on the Catholic faith and Christian values are paramount, we welcome children of all denominations. St Richard’s is set in 35 acres of glorious Herefordshire countryside. We have recently launched an Appeal to enable us to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Hirons Hall, our indoor sports hall with which any Old Ricardian will be very familiar. Primarily, we intend to re-roof and re-clad the Hirons Hall and install heating. Our second phase is to build changing facilities alongside the Hirons Hall; this will have the added benefit of releasing a lot of pressure around the back corridors of the main building. To improve access to this area and parking in general we will re-model the staff carpark and create a more aesthetically pleasing approach to the school. Any surplus funds at this stage will be channelled towards the updating and refurbishment of the school's other facilities. Please join us in making this a successful and exciting project; we have set ourselves a demanding challenge but are confident that, with the loyal support of all those who come into contact with the school, it is all very achievable.

We began in February 2012 as a small group of friends who live in the Staffordshire and Derbyshire area. We had all been volunteers for a large animal charity in Ashbourne. We were aware that there were a number of local animal organisations in the area, who were, due to todays economic climate, struggling to stay afloat. We therefore decided to start our charity to help these organisations by paying vets bills, food bills etc. Please help us to help the animals.
(UK, 1036405) Browse eventsMorning Star Children's Charity is a UK Registered Charity which was started in 1990 by Harold and Barbara Blake following their service in Nepal with the Baptist Missionary Society. The charity started a programme for the welfare of destitute, homeless and helpless children in Nepal and runs a children's home in Kathmandu, Nepal called Morning Star Children's Home. Today the home provides a loving, caring and Christian family home for 52 children which were ether abandoned by their parents, or orphaned through sickness or the long running Mouist war in Nepal. The children living in the home are provided with food, shelter, clothes, medical care and education. The house parents are Bishnu and Muna Parajul, run the home and give the necessary love and care to help the children overcome their physical and mental traunas of their previous lives. "From the very beginning our mission has been for the children to grow up knowing the love of God and Jesus Christ and for the children to be truly joined together in Christian love." We invite you to be a part in our vision. Morning Star Children's Chairy needs your prayer and financial support. Come and be blessed by sharing your love with these destitute children. To support one child for one month costs as little as £20. It is a small price to pay for a child’s future, their needs are great. Please help us now with what you can afford.
