DAY1 is a Scottish based charity providing 15 year olds from tough social backgrounds with a year long one-to-one mentoring service. Each young person discovers a positive direction in their lives and sets themselves up to move into sustainable employment or further training leading to the same.
Friends of Stanley School raise funds for the pupils of Stanley School for activities, equipment/resources and respite care, not legally provided for by any statutory agency. Past fundraising events include discos, school fairs, social evenings, raffles, sponsored walks and bounces and enterprise projects throughout the year. The staff and parents of FOSS are committed individuals giving of their time religiously to create a better environment and home/life balance for every pupil.
The Think Ahead Community Stroke Group offers help to Stroke Survivors, their families and carers in the Wigan Metropolitan Borough to improve the quality of their lives by providing friendship, information, advice and education, together with opportunities for interaction with other members by organising outings, respite breaks and appropriate social activities
Zest-uk is passionate about advancing education amongst school age children in rural Zambia, giving them hope for the future. This involves working closely with village communities to empower them, offering support with school equipment and building materials, education on health issues, drilling boreholes, sponsoring young adults through teacher training, and much more.
The mission of the Santiago Canyon College Foundation is to sponsor various gift‐giving opportunities, increase public awareness, and participate in campaigns needed to provide for the scholarships, programs, and capital needs of the College.
