Booster Club is the fundraising arm of Canyon Charter School, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Through fundraisers our goal is to raise $1,825 per student to support various programs above and beyond those provided through Los Angeles Unified School District. All parents and guardians are automatically voting members, and the Booster Club elects board members and approves the next year's annual budget at the May meeting. The Booster Club meets monthly following assemblies.
The Fragile X Association of Australia is a non-profit registered charity that provides support, information and counselling for people with Fragile X syndrome and their families. Fragile X syndrome is the most common inherited form of intellectual disability and the single gene cause of autism. There is considerable lack of awareness of Fragile X, resulting in misdiagnoses and people missing out on the support they need. Today, around forty years after Fragile X was first identified, many people remain undiagnosed. It is estimated that every week in Australia one child is born who is fully affected by Fragile X and twelve children are born who are carriers. Our aim is to help people with Fragile X to realise their full potential, provide information and support to people whose lives have been affected by Fragile X, promote undertsanding of people with Fragile X in the community and to raise public awareness of Fragile X Syndrome. We provide specialised Fragile X multi-disciplinary clinics, information by phone and through our wesbite, DVD and quartererly newsletter and free counselling for people with Fragile X and their families and carers.

The Work Rights Centre is a charity dedicated to tackling in-work poverty by helping workers exit poorly paid, unprotected, and insecure employment. It offers free accessible and confidential support in English, Romanian and Italians to migrants who are at risk of exploitation by employers, who do not know how to access their rights, who do not understand what is needed for lawful employment, or need support to get back into the labour market after a break. Not being able to overcome these challenges leaves many migrants with limited income, in poor health, and vulnerable to exploitation, abuse, and even homelessness. Beneficiaries from this organisation's services cannot afford to pay a lawyer. Money raised from donations will go exclusively to cover the cost of direct assistance to migrants - the pay for the adviser, training of volunteers, and the reimbursement for volunteers' travel expenses and lunch. Volunteer recruitment and retention is essential for this work, as the organisation wants to cover the needs of other EU migrants in precarious work in the UK, such as Italians or Polish.
