Displaced People in Action (DPIA) is a registered charity that has been helping displaced people (refugees and asylum seekers) integrate into their new lives in Wales since 2001. We currently operate in four main project areas: (1) Providing support services to several Local Authorities participating in the Home Office funded Syrian and Afghan Resettlement Schemes(2) Our Wales Deanery funded WARD (Wales Asylum seeker and Refugee Doctors) Group for retraining qualified medical professionals to be able to work in the NHS(3) Our Big Lottery Funded Wales Cities of Sanctuary project (4) Our BBC Children in Need funded Children’s project.
