(AU, 18055440232) Browse eventsRadio Lollipop believes in the healing power of play - providing smiles and laughter to children at a time when they need it most. One in four children are admitted to a hospital before reaching age 14. Though some patients are short-stay, many have a recurring need for care and return repeatedly to hospital. Some who are terminally ill spend much of their short lives in hospital. Radio Lollipop gives young patients a voice and a choice during their stay. While they can't say "no" to taking their medicine or receiving treatment, they can request their favourite songs, win prizes and hear their own voices on the radio. Those activities give youngsters a haven of normality in the hospital day which in other respects is strange, different and often scary. For more information see www.radiolollipop.org
(UK, 1051322) Browse eventsFor nearly 900 years the church of St Mary the Virgin has been at the centre of the community of Haverfordwest. Imposingly set overlooking the town’s High Street, it is Grade One listed. Its fine early arches, medieval carvings, Tudor panelled oak roof, historic organ and peal of eight bells, together with many other outstanding features, make it one of Wales’ finest parish churches. As the town’s Civic Church, we welcome the opportunity to work with the Town Council and many local organisations. We serve a broad mix of people from our area, as members of our congregation, visitors, those attending concerts or civic events and those who come for baptisms, weddings and funerals. In recent years we have extended our outreach to all primary schools in the town, performing annually The Easter Story and Christmas Story for them in the church. Our fundraising events include an annual Flower Festival, History Weeks and Friday Lunchtime events (talks, concerts, social gatherings). The church’s fine acoustics and large space are appreciated by choirs, soloists and other musical groups who use it for rehearsals and concerts. It costs up to £6,000 per month to keep St Mary’s Church open. We hope you will be able to support us.

(AU, 37730989411) Browse eventsCambodian Children’s Trust (Australia Cambodia Foundation Inc) is a non-profit NGO running projects in the Battambang region of Cambodia to help break the cycle of poverty and enable vulnerable children to become educated, ethical and empowered future leaders of Cambodia. CCT was created in 2007 when Tara Winkler and her Cambodian team rescued 14 children from a corrupt orphanage. Now no longer an orphanage, CCT's work with more than 300 children and their families focuses on creating lasting change in the lives of underprivileged children and their families in Battambang by providing practical, long-term support. We are committed to these children because we believe in their potential to be leaders in their communities and their ability to affect change in Cambodia. Your support will help us to continue and expand our work. For more information go to CCT Website: http://www.cambodianchildrenstrust.org/

He was just at the start of his cricketing career – something that had always been part of his and our lives. Josh loved life and was always finding ways to fulfil his dreams. We want to do something that will leave a legacy and so we will be launching the JB33 Foundation in 2025. This will become our focus – working with cricket clubs offering opportunities to all. This is a start of an exciting journey for us both to hopefully give something back to the sport that Josh and we love. Paul & Lisa Baker
