Set up by those closest to John following his untimely death, The John Merricks Sailing Trust seeks to help other young sailors (under 25) achieve their goals. Since 1997 the John Merricks Sailing Trust, a registered charity, has supported youth sailing by awarding grants to deserving individuals, clubs and youth organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to sailing and financial need. The John Merricks Sailing Trust is proud to be Supporting Youth Sailing in the United Kingdom.

The only answer for many people living in Camden, young or old, is the St Pancras Welfare Trust. The object of the Trust is to help residents of the former Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras when faced with need or sickness and have nowhere else to turn. A separate trust, the Camelot Trust, supports holidays and school trips for disadvantaged young children. The area of benefit of both trusts lies within the heart of the London Borough of Camden and includes some of the most densely populated parts of the borough, many with high indicators of poverty and need. The most common request is to help people being re-housed - perhaps after years of living rough, living in a hostel or after leaving an institution. They have no resources or possessions and their new homes are usually cold and bare. We help by making small grants in cash or vouchers to buy furniture, bedding and clothes. We also receive requests to help young mums and their children, the frail and elderly and those in need of respite. During the year ending 31st March 2013 we made 164 grants totalling £23,577. An analysis of grants shows that they directly affected a total of 838 individuals. Beneficiaries included 9 pensioners, 23 persons suffering mental health problems, 26 persons with disabilities, 16 families being re-housed and 11 families seeking asylum. Your donation or legacy will make an enormous difference. Thank you

Activities include: they also play Giant Jenga, have Beetle drives, undertake cookery sessions, have theatre and museum visits, and run quizzes and regular craft and visual arts evenings - which all provide opportunities to develop a variety of skills and personal confidence. The overall objective for the group is to provide a safe environment where the young people feel their individual needs are understood and where they are encouraged to learn new skills whilst having lots of fun.

We are also connected to other congregations throughout the UK and Europe. But, though we may be made up of many nationalities, we are all committed to building a community in Ealing, London, and beyond. Presbyterian To be Presbyterian means to be linked with other churches so that we are kept accountable. Church The Bible describes the church in all sorts of ways, but the simplest way of describing a church is a group of people who are in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Though the media often refer to the church as an organisation, and when giving directions someone may point out a 'church' as a landmark, the essence of a church is people. Church members are committed to help each other grow as Christians and communicate to those who don’t know God.
