Thank you for supporting 1st Wellesbourne Scout Group and the Young People within our organisation.We exist to help the Young People of Wellesbourne grow within the community, expanding their knowledge, experience, skill and confidence. Now operating for over 10 years we have between 80 and 100 Young People involved at any one time providing them with many life enhancing experiences that they simply cannot get elsewhere. Part of the worldwide organisation that is the Scout Association 1st Wellesbourne Scout Group provides an opportunity for the Young People of Wellesbourne to enjoy and benefit from everything that Scouting can offer.We help young people to develop their skills, personalities and confidence in a wide range of activities. Whether this be through participation in numerous outdoor activities available, developing on their own or as part of a team, supporting their community our Young People can be seen to grow and shine brightly as their involvement in Scouting grows.Of course, supporting all this activity requires time and funding. We are lucky to have a small group of volunteers who work with our Young People to develop in Scouting. Raising the funds needed to enable all this is a perpetual task and we are very grateful for the support that we get from all the parents, carers, friends, family and organisations we work with.Thank you for your ongoing help.Please donate to support our cause. The aims of our group is to provide support, advice, friendship and offer acitivites for hearing impaired children and their families in the Walsall area. We rely on donations and fundraising events, that we hold throughout the year. Our work makes a big difference to children the who often feel isolated and different to their peers at school, and give them a chance to interact with their hearing friends in a relaxed environment.

Rainbows is all about learning by doing. 2nd Botanic Gardens Rainbows is a Rainbow Unit in the west end of Glasgow. One of our Rainbow Leaders, Emma MacLeod (aka Bluebird) is running the Edinburgh half marathon on 29th May to raise funds for 2nd Botanic Gardens Rainbows. The young adults have life experience of Guatemala’s most significant social issues. YAPG is a network of support working to facilitate opportunities for young adults to participate in and lead community projects and initiatives. Through group meetings, activities, local Guatemalan volunteer mentors and provision of education support the outworking of YAPG is executed. Young Adults with Purpose in Banbury. YAPB YAPB operates very similarly to Guatemala following the same principles but with cultural and regulatory differences. Young adults will be mentored by volunteers. We believe young people having a mentor and role model as they journey through their development has a major positive influence upon their decision making and futures. Time to Rescue Rescue of street living children and youth in Guatemala City. Rescues are the result of significant work with the beneficiaries which leads to a transition from street life to other projects and programmes that then lead to an eventual reintegration with family or into other accommodation. Time to Rescue invests in working with and supporting local churches, groups and individuals, including young adults in YAPG taking on roles as volunteers of Time to Rescue. Time to Rescue is currently working with in excess of 400 street living children. My Special Treasure Working with severely abused teenage girls providing residential care and recovery. Mi Especial Tesoro run their own project called the Centro Educativo. This is a school attending to 110 children from the Chimaltenango rubbish dump. The girls at My Special Treasure, who are increasingly integrating into YAPG, help give classes to the children.
