(UK, NI101165) The Ards Peninsula First Responders is a volunteer group who responds to life threatening emergency calls, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, serving the BT22 area. This valued scheme has been very helpful to those in desperate need, while those in trouble, living in remote areas, await the arrival emergency services. The scheme operates as a self funded community partnership with NIAS. Our volunteers are all trained in first aid and AED and provide care until the ambulance service arrives.The APFRs arrive at an emergency scene and respond in a matter of minutes, at a time when every minute counts.
