The Whitehall Choir is a group of amateur singers, conducted by Paul Spicer of the RCM, that presents concerts of classical music, usually at central London concert venues, accompanied by professional orchestras and soloists. Its concerts are subsidised by its members' subscriptions and by appeals and fund-raising activities.
The Daily Express has launched an appeal to help raise funds for Marina Hainey, who has been denied life-saving cancer treatment on the NHS because the Government says the drugs are too expensive. She needs to raise at least £30,000 to be able to start on a private course of Avastin, the best available drug for her liver cancer. All funds will be administered by The Daily Express.
