OARA is an Australian Association provided for parents, families and patients born with the congenital deformity of Oesophageal Atresia and other related conditions. Oesophageal Atresia (OA) affect 1 in 3500 and is a malformation of the 'food pipe' which is not connected to the stomach and requires life-saving surgery to correct the problem. These patients can then go on to have ongoing issues with narrowing of the oesophagus and reflux, to name a few. Oesophageal atresia can also be associated with tracheo-oesophageal fistula (TOF), which is an abnormal connection between the oesophagus and the trachea (windpipe). This can cause initial and/or ongoing breathing difficulties. The Association has been set up to support families and individuals born with this condition Australia wide, as well as raising much needed funds into research.

St. Mary’s is the parish church of Oxted, and has been at the centre of the community since before the Norman Conquest. From generation to generation people have turned to God here, in times of sorrow and joy. In each age the Church has tried to respond to the needs of the community, and in our own day this Christian Community places itself at the service of those who live and work in Oxted. Today we share our faith by worshipping together and bringing the good news of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection to those around us. One of the ways in which we seek to meet the needs of the community is through working with young people, and we are actively fund-raising to expand the activities we are offering to three groups for children between 10 and 16 years old.
