Maintain the Pilgrim Monument, buildings and land to accommodate its libraries and collections.

(UK, 1050675) Clyst Caring Friends is a charity that exists for the relief of those who are sick, convalescent, disabled,infirm or elderly residing in a rural area to the east of Exeter. The charity began as a 'friends of Pinhoe surgery' running a car service to the surgery for those with mobility problems, but has over recent years developed and expanded. Our current operation includes running a purpose built day centre in the village of Broadclyst five days a week. Here we provide three days of day care, one of which is for the elderly mentally infirm. We also have a specialist bathing unit. A Memory Cafe also meets at the centre and its staff and volunteers are trained in dementia awareness. There is a monthly lunch club for those who are housebound and all our services are supported by a volunteer car service. We are continually fund raising to support all of our services and we are looking to run a charity shop to boost the fund raising. Charity No: 1050675

We can help to find solutions to the problems that often seem impossible for those worrying about them. Not just the answers to the immediate problem but very often answers that are able to unlock solutions on a wider front. It might be the strength to kick an addiction or timely advice to prevent re-offending. We are an independent charity and have to work very hard to secure funding. Often funds do not go far enough or are only for the short term. You can help to support us by making a donation towards our general service or supporting one of our fundraising appeals. The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities.
