These are students who would otherwise have few or no opportunities to explore the natural world. Through these programs TIOBEC tackles the achievement gap in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning and narrows the opportunity gap that prevents low-income students from excelling at the same rate as their middle-class peers.
