Brain Injury can happen to anyone at any point of their lives. Usually caused by Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work, Assault and Sporting Injuries and as a result of conditions such as Brain Tumours and Stroke. Survivors are often left with cognitive and physical difficulties that may include difficulties with walking, speech and language and vision in addition to short and long term memory impairment, the skills to recognise family and friends, to plan daily activities and motivation. Survivors need support from Headway to readjust to their change in their lives and to find strategies to continue an active and meaningful life. All donations made for this event will be used to provide social rehabilitation activities that will enhance survivors and facilities well being and promote recovery.
