YTD Raised: n/a

Bounce provides cricket facilities and coaching to clubs and youngsters in the Midlands The cricket centre was set up in 2010 by Heath Parnell and I, along with a few very generous individuals and supporters. How do we spend your money? The cricket centre loses money each year, we tread a very delicate line between charging for our facilities but also making it such a small amount that local clubs and individuals come to centre, use it, bring their friends who may be interested in playing the beautiful game of cricket. The centre is due in 2016 to refit it's playing surfaces - currently from funds it does not have. Every school should have a debate team. Every student should have access to the best debate education opportunities. Debate is the most rigorous academic program since Ancient Greece and Socrates to promote college, career and civic success. Up to September 2011 less than 1% of Title I low income schools in NYC had debate teams and less than 1% of NYC youth participated in debate. Our mission is every school in NYC should have a debate team and every student should have access to the best debate education opportunities. One of the most critical problems in education is the academic and civic achievement gaps. Our solution is to provide the best college, career, and civic opportunities through year round academic debate. We support debate practices every day, tournaments every weekend, workshops every month, and debate camps all summer. We are one of the city’s most award winning curricular and extracurricular programs.
