The aim of the charity is to provide professionally affordable counselling to anyone in need of counselling, especially those in poverty or at risk of exclusion and whose lives are marginalised and outside mainstream. We are a multi-cultural service supporting and celebrating the diversity of clients accessing the service. The charity provided over 5000 hours of counselling in 2014. PCS is the only counselling service that provides long term counselling on an affordable fee basis. The issues dealt with in counselling may include relationship issues, bereavement, abuse, depression, anger, stress or disability. PCS receives funding to provide a free counselling service to Portsmouth residents for drug and alcohol issues. We also offer free counselling sessions to family members of substance misuse users and for witnesses and victims of domestic abuse.
