With a natural tendency to take control but also, leave no man behind, Ajvir's leadership was kind spirited and mutually beneficial to him and his peers. For him, his sense of caring kept him grounded and growing as a leader and for those that followed and learnt from him, they gained so much from what he had to offer. An innate charisma which drew people to him, Ajvir's qualities were rare and admiral but always shared with compassion to help other people grow. Ajvir led with his head but never forgot his heart. The Ajvir Singh Sandhu Leadership Foundation works to recognise passion, commitment and outstanding dedication in young people across various fields. Resolving to help individuals achieve their full potential, the Foundation will reward, support and encourage young people who display the skills which demonstrate the seeds of growth to become successful future leaders. The organisation welcomes individuals aged 11-25 who excel in sport, music, academics and military disciplines with the primary aim being to further develop and create more opportunities for these promising individuals. Working predominantly within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, we work with a wide range of partners to deliver projects, encourage participation, and collaborate with others to address the biodiversity and climate emergencies, and to create more sustainable, healthy and active communities, places and partnerships. Our main activities are: Nature Restoration programmes - delivering impactful ecological change to secure significant ecological, economic and social gains. Walk in the Park - activities led principally by trained local volunteers, including regular weekly walks to support physical, mental and social wellbeing and Strength and Balance sessions to build confidence and mobility. Active Travel - to encourage walking, wheeling and cycling as part of everyday journeys within our local communities In Step with Nature - noticing nature and seasonal changes to encourage meaningful connections with nature.

Whilst based in Maidenhead, we work in the Thames Valley area. Many young people on the spectrum have special interests which they would like to share with others, but lack the social skills needed to do so. We can offer opportunities to help make those connections in a structured and understanding environment. We cater for children and young people aged between 11 and 25 who have a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum condition and are of mainstream ability, but need support to succeed in social situations. Our parent support groups are led by experienced staff and are run alongside our special interest groups. There is someone on hand to answer autism related questions in a welcoming and friendly space. The Autism Group is passionate about autism education for all and is committed to providing practical, affordable training for parents, carers and professionals. All training for parents is provided by trainers with children on the autism spectrum.
