We have three nominated charities, Shepway Sports Trust, Opera Youth Foundation and Clic Sargent. The Atlantic Avengers raise funds through sporting and community based projects all focussing on fun, energy and commitment. Our current challenge is rowing 3800 miles along the Columbus Route across the Avengers. The two Superheroes Ricky Reina and John Wilson aim to do this solo in 3months. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in British men with almost 41,000 new cases diagnosed each year, while testicular cancer remains the most common cancer in men aged 15-44. Our scientists have made significant breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of male cancers, including discovering and developing the revolutionary prostate cancer drug abiraterone, which has been shown to extend life for patients with advanced prostate cancer. But more research needs to be done. Your generous support will help us to make a real impact on cancer patients’ lives.
