Nambour State College was founded in 2016, resulting from the amalgamation of Nambour State High School and Nambour State School. Two of the oldest schools on the Sunshine Coast had co-existed for decades and decided to join forces to help provide the best possible education for our students. Students enjoy extensive facilities and resources in this large campus in the heart of Nambour. Whatever age your child joins the college, they will benefit from common teaching and support programs that run from prep through to year 12. Literacy and numeracy development will run seamlessly for the 13 years of schooling and students can easily accelerate their learning. The Colchester Half Marathon is a small charity run entirely by unpaid volunteers from Colchester Colne Round Table. The half marathon has rapidly grown into one of the regions premier races, attracting over 2,000 entrants every year. All profits from each years race are donated to deserving local charities chosen by the Trustees. The beneficiaries for the 2018 race are Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and MS UK.
