The festival is a celebration of our Asian Studies program and involves the whole community coming together to sample Asian food, watch displays, participate in the Moon Lantern parade and watch and exciting fireworks display. Ultimately, WECare Worldwide plan to extend veterinary services around the globe but initially will be concentrating on tacking the issues with the street dog population in Sri Lanka. It is estimated that there are up to 3 million street dogs in Sri Lanka. WECare Worldwide are in the process of carrying out a 5 year plan in which we will look to help eliminate rabies in the country and also reduce the numbers of unwanted street dogs. We will also treat any sick or injured street dogs.
