Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is responsible for providing community health and hospital care for people living in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. The Local Health District consists of both urban and semi-rural areas, covering almost 9,179 square kilometres and an estimated resident population of almost 350,000 people. Services provided include maternity, gynaecology, neonatal intensive care, emergency, diagnostics, paediatric, surgical, intensive care, coronary care, rehabilitation and mental health. Also on the Nepean Hospital campus are a Tresillian Family Care Centre, Menopause Service, Nepean Cancer Care Centre, Diabetes Service and the Wentworth Centre for Drug and Alcohol Medicine
The Ulysses Trust provides funding assistance to challenging expeditions and adventurous activities involving members of the Volunteer Reserve Forces and Cadet Forces of the UK.
The purpose of the Maidstone Museums' Foundation is the education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the Maidstone Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery and their collections through the activity of a group of friends and in coordination with its management and staff. The association also furthers the charitable purpose of the Maidstone Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery and encourages the development of the facilities afforded by it. It also engages in, supports and co-ordinates research through publishing, education and advertising for the furtherance of the Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery.
