(UK, 1040428) Plantsbrook School PTA (now known as 'Friends of Plantsbrook School) raises valuable funds to support the school in giving young people meaningful learning experiences. We raise money for equipment and resources to enhance the facilities in school to enhance our childrens' education. Most importantly, we support students' own fundraising and enterprise activities. PTA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. During the past two years we have successfully raised enough funds to provide a playground gazebo shelter and, through sponsorship raised at last year's Great Midlands Fun Run, have been able to name a new Guide Dog puppy, who will be called 'Brook'. This year we are again splitting the proceeds between PTA funds and our chosen charity for this year, the Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield.
