Our principal focus is on the undervalued world of sound, and our themes are hospitality, refuge and the city. Jericho has three principal areas of activity: theatre production, grassroots outreach work and research and policy. First, we aim to stage challenging, innovative and ethically relevant theatre productions. Secondly, we work with displaced individuals, particularly women, who are offered the opportunity to shape their experiences into performance work and present it publicly at partner venues. Thirdly, we are developing a portfolio of research, focusing on the relationship between aesthetics and everyday life, manifesting in empirical study, philosophical enquiry and advocacy at the government level.
