After years of serving the local community, Gravesend's astro-turf is in desperate need of replacement and needs all your help to raise enough money to replace it. The Gravesham Sports Trust (GST) is a charitable trustwhich helps maintain and run the astro-turf pitch at Gravesend Rugby Club. Itis the aim of the trust to ensure Gravesham and its local communities continuesto have access to a multi-sport artificial grass surface, to help encouragecontinued sports participation in the area. Having served the local community for many years, the astro now needs major investment to ensure the surface continues to be playable. GST will be organising a variety of events and opportunities for anyone to get involved, to help raise money for this very worthy cause. Any donations would be hugely appreciated. The Irish ME Trust is the national association for sufferers of the neurological condition of ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis), also known as CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). Our primary role is one of information, referral and counselling, although we further involve ourselves in research, lobbying the department of health for the establishment of a diagnostic clinic, and generally catering to the individual requests of members. We believe that only through proper diagnosis of this illness, can sufferers be given the proper advice on treatment and in turn save the State large amounts on monies which could be better utilized elsewhere. Although a difficult condition to diagnose, we believe that ME is an exercise intolerant illness and the initial advice to exercise can have consequences for ME sufferers. Diagnosis is therefore key. Further information on this is contained in our information pack on request from [email protected]

Charlotte Miller Art Project (UK, 1064645) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Charlotte Miller Art Project, cmap is an international arts programme that works towards improving the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and stigmatised young people in Latin America. In some of the world’s toughest cities, children are spending the whole of their young lives either working or living on the streets. Many of these children suffer appalling domestic or social trauma. Through the international language of art, a language that can inform, amuse, shock and inspire real change, we work to give these children a break from their immediate circumstances in a creative and stimulating atmosphere. Our workshops develop their communication and practical creative skills and the ability to go on and make use of those skills in the future. They develop the foundations for a lifelong sense of confidence.
