(UK, LADBROKE) LADBROKE CHURCH has stood for many centuries and it falls to each generation to look after this lovely building not only for its own benefit but also for those to come. We need to raise £250,000 for urgent repairs. Set in a traditional village setting, with an unusual striped tower, fine stained glass and an interior that was restored and refurbished by Gilbert Scott in 1876, Ladbroke Church looks like a chocolate box picture. However along with its history this lovely old building brings the congregation and Ladbroke community a big challenge. We need to raise at least a further £250,000 to resolve within the next 1 to 5 years the issues identified in our quinquennial inspection including: decaying stonework on the tower, butresses & chancel, failed pointing & masonry bee damage, window maintenance and the porch doors.
