AAI regards health as a fundamental human right and its goal is for this right to be realised in some of the most remote and austere regions in the world. AAI focuses on underserved and vulnerable populations that may not otherwise enjoy assistance from governments or other international organisations. It promotes partnerships with local communities, capacity building of existing infrastructures, and the provision of other humanitarian initiatives that focus on the causes of the problem to ensure that it achieves sustainable solutions.

It is the northern half of the 1.8 km stretch of beach that runs from the base of Long Reef headland to Dee Why headland. The beach faces South East and has great waves for surfing and swimming, making it a very popular beach. It is ideal for surf club activities as the beach is partly protected by an offshore reef (Long Reef). Long Reef Beach is patrolled every weekend during September through to April of each year. Most Sydney Northern Beaches operate on roughly the same times- so feel free to visit our beach during our ‘safe’ hours.

(UK, 1130353RUG) Browse eventsThe aim of Dallaglio Foundation Rugby for Change is not to get thousands more young people playing the game and joining clubs. The aim by 2015 is to have a profound impact on the aspirations and self-esteem of around 7,000 young people who are at risk of making the wrong life choices. In the wake of the London riots, the DFR4C teams want to deliver a qualitative programme, strongly and comprehensively empowering a few, for them to positively impact many in their communities, changing the playing field from the inside. Dallaglio Foundation Rugby For Change motivates young people to make their mark on the world by giving them the opportunity to play rugby on their doorstep and become part of a team, whilst tackling social issues from youth crime, to lack of engagement in education. A key part of what we do is engage them all year round and create a development plan with the long term view of getting them ready for employment. This will involve: mentoring, work experience, skill share and partnering with companies who offer apprenticeships. We know: Our programme aims to change this, as over the next five years, we shall be working with around 7000 young people, in 10 cities (including 8 London Boroughs) to have a profound impact on changing their lives for the better. We will find a way to make a difference.
