(UK, 1004103) Established in 1978, The Wallich is a homelessness charity dedicated to helping the most excluded people in our society; vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs who often cannot access any other accommodation or support services. We work together with other agencies and government to deliver innovative solutions to homelessness that are as diverse as the people we help. We help people to find the accommodation and support, which will enable them to live safer, happier and more independent lives. We support over 1000 people a day, employ some 200 people and operate more than 50 projects across 15 Local Authorities in Wales. For those people who are forced to sleep rough, our Rough Sleepers Intervention Teams will provide a hot breakfast and help to get off the streets. If poor mental health or drink and/or drug use is ruining a person’s life, one of our specialist supported accommodation projects will help them find stability. If someone is in danger of losing their home due to family breakdown, debt or health problems, our Tenancy Support Services will try to prevent them from becoming homeless. If renting a home is impossible due to lack of a deposit, our Bond Board Schemes will provide people who need help with a bond and secure them a place to live away from expensive and unstable temporary accommodation. The Wallich has succesfully housed many who have been street homeless, helped those with severe social problems and supported many people in rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness.

YTD Raised: £3,623.31This Charity was founded on the 23rd April 2010 in response to the plight of homeless ex service personnel. It is estimated that over 4500 previously serving members of the British Armed Forces are sleeping rough in the UK today. With MOD due to be making cuts this figure is going to rise. UK Homes 4 Heroes objectives are: 1. To dedicate hostel style accommodation to our ex service personnel and only them. Providing a safe, clean living environment where they can feel secure and at home. 2. To help gain a permanent home through social housing, assisting through the application and bidding phases. 3. To provide counselling services for people with psychological disorders, i.e. Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Over the short period in which this charity has formed the response we have had from the British Public has been overwhelming. We have had interviews on BBC Radio 5 Live, coverage in the Sun Newspaper and countless updates in our local Paper, The Southwark News. reaction to this Charity has been incredible, we still need more help, more donations, more awareness and above all more support. We have a 16 strong team of dedicated professionals team heading this operation and we will not give up until we succeed. We have the backing of the London Pearly Kings & Queens, one of the oldest charitable institutes in Britain today.

Our grant funding prioritises the areas of: Homelessness Abuse Addiction Child Carers We’d like to hear from both organisations tackling obstacles faced by under 16 year olds, and under 16 year olds themselves, experiencing difficulty. Central to our grant funding are the following values: Potential the7stars foundation understands circumstance can hinder our fulfillment. The foundation’s grant programme will work to assist the most challenged under 16 year olds achieve their potential. Opportunity the7stars foundation recognises there are some young people who face unjust barriers to development and achievement. The foundation’s grant programme will unlock opportunity for the United Kingdom’s most vulnerable young people. Fairness We support under 16 year olds coping with unfair situations. The foundation’s grant programme will fight to further fairness for such individuals. Impact We are committed to ensuring each grant advances these values, and supports the most challenged under 16 year olds, in the best way possible. Each grant will be assessed on the social impact it has, not just to the applicant and beneficiaries, but also on the wider peer communities working to protect and support young people struggling with difficulties.
