(UK, 1170263) As a Christian charity we are passionate about showing compassion to those we encounter. Our 24/7 night shelter offers up to 30 homeless guests a comfortable bed each night and the knowledge that the morning will not find them out on the street again. This safe environment encourages guests to engage fully with the agencies helping them. Breakfast, evening meal, showers and laundry facilities are available. A guest lounge with TV, various activities and the chance to 'help out' or even become a 'trusted guest volunteer' helps to normalise our guests' lives. Our Chaplain offers opportunities to talk, study and pray while our resettlement worker actively supports our guests as they move on to more suitable accommodation. We are also able to provide a limited number of rooms in our 'half way house'. Other MCM projects includes Groundbreakers - providing primary school children with an opportunity to explore the Christian faith, Dawn Project - Sharing the Gospel through hymns and visual aids in residential homes, Operation Joy - street homeless work in Manchester and 4Site - a ministry to showground and traveller sites. We also provide training for Churches and those wanting to work with the homeless.
