YTD Raised: £4,435.34

Chris Mitchell was a professional footballer from Stirling, who sadly took his own life at the age of 27. Chris had a successful career spanning 10 years, playing across all Scottish divisions and representing his country at all underage groups, including seven appearances at Scotland Under-21 level.  Chris also had a short spell playing in England. In his honour, the foundation was established to raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing in professional football. The services and support of the foundation will be available to players, ex-players and staff connected to professional Scottish football clubs; including those clubs within the Scottish Professional Football League, the Scottish Highland League, the Scottish Lowland League, the Scottish Women’s Premier League and associated youth academies.    The vision of the Chris Mitchell Foundation is to dispel the stigma associated with mental health in Scottish professional football and for it to be integrated into physical health and fitness training programmes. The Chris Mitchell Foundation will bring to the forefront the need for the awareness of mental health and wellbeing within the Scottish professional football industry, by sharing knowledge and skills and improve learning, forging cohesive and sustainable partnerships, connecting and supporting service users and campaigning to raise awareness on a national scale.Should you find yourself in a position to support the foundation, your contribution would be most welcome. YTD Raised: $4,430.00

Bowel Cancer Australia works to reduce the impact of bowel cancer in our society through advocacy, awareness, education, support and research. We aim to help save lives from this common cancer, Australia’s second biggest cancer killer. Bowel cancer affects men and women equally, of any age. 77 people die every week from the disease, and 1 in 12 of us will receive a bowel cancer diagnosis during our lifetime. Charity initiatives such as Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, BowelScreen Australia and the Health in the Workplace Program raise awareness among health professionals and the community about the importance of early detection and intervention in the successful treatment of bowel cancer. Through our ‘Love My Family’ Community, we provide support, resources and advocacy for bowel cancer patients, their carers, close relatives and friends. To do all this, we rely on public support.
