The Trust provides a wide range of excellent local and national services. However, with the changes in funding and the increasing pressures on NHS Trusts to save even more money over the coming years presents a challenge to the ever increasing demands on services. We work collaboratively with our staff and patients and there are already examples of initiatives that add value above and beyond what we do and go the extra mile in improving people’s lives. The Trust Board oversees the Charitable funds Committee. In addition a diverse team of staff and patients from across the Trust will be working with the Committee to review proposals and allocate funding.

Home-Start offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children, in local communities throughout the UK and with British Forces in Germany and Cyprus. Home-Start offers a unique service, recruiting and training volunteers who are usually parents themselves, to visit families at home who have at least one child under 5 and offer informal, friendly and confidential support. To help give children the best possible start in life, Home-Start supports parents as they grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children and widen their links with the local community. Whilst all Home-Start schemes are guided by the same principles, each is an autonomous unit, individually registered with the Charities Commission, and with their own local management committee responsible for their own funding. Home-Start, Epsom Ewell and Banstead has its office in Great Tattenhams and supports over fifty volunteers who visit and support local families in need.

Louth. On top of this, the team will also travel to other parts of the country when requested, to back up other Mountain Rescue Teams and the Gardai. Our purpose is to provide a professional mountain rescue service for those who find themselves in need.
