We use the funds to feed children in school where we also run a sewing school. We have just opened a new rural school for 50 children who we are also feeding with 2 teachers.

It provides basic essentials – from food and clean water to toilets and textbooks – to 24 extremely poor jungle schools in the south of the island. As funds allow, it also builds extra classrooms, installs playground equipment, runs tea and cinnamon-growing cooperatives, and oversees vocational schools. In 2014 Extra Cover have opened 2 special education units to cater for children with all types of disabilities. They will be working closely with local government to provide education for those who have not had the opportunity in the past.
