The school motto, ‘Believe and Achieve’ encourages children to develop a love of learning and to believe in themselves in order to be the best they can. The school serves 65 children aged 4-11, with around half coming from Elford itself and the remainder from surrounding villages and Tamworth. The school building dates back to 1856 when Lady Mary Howard provided the funds for a free school in Elford. Alongside a hall and communal facilities, the building currently consists of just three classrooms housing all seven year groups and due to rising pupil numbers and an requirement for a pre-school provision, it has been recognised that a fourth classroom would be necessary by September 2019 to continue the quality of teaching for pupils and teachers alike. The cost of this building is in the region of £150,000.
