The Burns Support Foundation's charter is to provide direct and indirect support and assistance to anyone who has been burnt as well as their families. Support services include a parent/carer support group, a young adults' group, a telephone help line and referral service, a newsletter, and biannual family camps.
The Drumchapel Foodbank provides seven day emergency supplies to those in the local and wider community experiencing financial crisis. We also act as a link to additional community based support services who can help individuals reduce their experience of financial and social isolation.
The Pemba Foundation works exclusively in the large island of Pemba, part of Zanzibar in Tanzania. Life is hard there: people depend on subsistence farming and fishing. We install irrigation on small farms; introduce new crops; encourage fisheries conservation; build public toilets and schools.
We provide quality education by supporting DIL schools and vocational training programmes in the rural areas of Pakistan. Our vision is also to extend vocational training programmes to underpriviliged women/teenagers belonging to multi ethnic minority communities in England
The Salem Health Foundation serves as a catalyst for ideas, partnerships, and programs that improve community health in Marion and Polk Counties (Oregon). We support Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics’ mission to provide local, extraordinary health care to the people of the Mid-Willamette Valley.
