The Bolton NHS Charitable Fund uses donated funds in a variety of ways, which include the purchase of new pieces of medical equipment, little extras for patients and specialist training for staff to enhance their ability to deliver up to date care. The Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provides diagnosis, treatment and care to patients at the Royal Bolton Hospital and in the Community, there are four divisions providing health care and each of these divisions have speciality funds. A donation can be made to a specific speciality fund or alternatively a donation can be made to the General Purposes Fund this fund is used to purchase larger pieces of medical equipment.
