Thank you for visiting Wag & Company's mydonate page.Our Charity enables professionally assessed volunteers and their dogs to visit older dog lovers across the North East of England.Our vision is that everyone who misses the friendship of a dog in our region can quickly benefit from the company of a visiting dog team.We will deliver three core programmes:Visiting Friendship Dogs "Wag Teams", bringing the joy of animal companionship wherever and whenever it's needed.Volunteer with a Volunteer "Tandem Volunteering", older dog lovers who no longer have a dog but would enjoy getting out and making new friends join with our Wag Teams visiting the less able."Changing Scenes", our commitment to fundraise to organise outings and events to provide a change of scene for our older friends. Our ongoing operating costs are kept very low by both the support of our partners and our no cost leadership and management model.Our biggest ongoing costs cover the insuring, assessing and equipping of our volunteers as well as the staff costs of manning our office part time.We receive no government or other funding so we are totally reliant on the belief and generosity of North East people, businesses and dog lovers.We will be absolutely transparent about what we receive and how we spend it, ensuring every penny is focussed on delivering our programmes benefitting older dog lovers.
