Wendy’s Wish is a family run charity that started in memory of Wendy Reed, who died on 6th January 2017, 5 years after being diagnosed with “ocular melanoma” (a type of eye cancer). When someone has cancer, the effects reach far beyond the patient and our family motto has always been “we’re all in this together”. As a family, we set up the charity to raise money for the Eye Tumour Research Fund and to help cancer patients and their families, at the same time as raising the profile of all forms of eye cancer. (UK, 1116340) The Mixed Division (trading as The Mixed Group) raises money to fund an annual Christmas Day meal and an annual Summer Cream Tea for lonely and elderly residents living within the Borough of Welwyn Hatfield in Hertfordshire. Every year, we have almost 100 volunteers give up their own Christmas Day to collect 120 elderly and lonely residents from the local area and bring them to a community hall where they will have a free Christmas Lunch, entertainment, presents, gift vouchers and sandwiches to take home. By supporting The Mixed Group, you will help to ensure that the day is a success and enjoyable for all those attending. Thank you for your support.
