Birmingham Mind has been offering high quality recovery based services to adults and older adults in the Midlands since 1962. During the 2010/11 financial year Birmingham Mind supported over 1700 individuals experiencing mental distress. All of our services are individualised, person centred and deliver valued outcomes, as we passionately believe that everyone has the right to live lives that are meaningful and which enable them to reach their full potential as individuals. Our Vision: “Promoting and providing high quality support for those experiencing mental distress” Our Purpose: "We will provide high quality services which ranges from those that support mental wellbeing and health promotion to those offering a specialist recovery based approach. We will challenge the stigma that surrounds mental distress" Birmingham Mind is proud of its delivery of high quality services in a variety of settings. All our services are carefully vetted by our own robust monitoring arrangements or external verification. We are pleased that a number of our residential services are rated as excellent by CQC (Care Quality Commission), we have achieved the top standard awarded by National Mind, and have gained PQASSO level one. We are proud of our committed staff and have a number of external awards to prove that we deliver high quality support and are a good employer. The organization also has achieved awards for how we invest in our staff’s training and development. We have held the Investors in People Award for over 10 years and we are signed up to the Mindful Employer scheme. Due to the overall excellence of our services we have been awarded the Charity Commission Accreditation mark. We are by far the largest voluntary sector provider of mental health services within Birmingham and as a consequence have a vast amount of experience within the organization.

The P&C Association provides an official structure that allows parents to get involved at College, to be a part of the community, and to raise funds to support our College. Our P&C doesn’t have any employees, we are a volunteer association. For a P&C to exist we must have an Executive Committee comprised of some of the parents and carers of children at School. We are strongest as a school community when we each give a little. We pride ourselves on our enjoyable, friendly and relaxed atmosphere of our P&C meetings – after all, the main reason we get involved is because it is fun. Our monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 – 8.00 pm. Meetings are held in a hybrid fashion where those who prefer to meet in person can come to the Met East Room, Senior Campus, on School Road, or virtually Microsoft Teams conferencing software. Meetings are open to any interested member of the College community. If you are a member, you will receive notice via email and you can follow us on Facebook for regular updates. https://www.capalabascpandc.com.au/your-pandc
