Running for Premature Babies Foundation was founded by grieving parents Sophie and Ash Smith in memory of their baby triplets Henry, Jasper and Evan who tragically were unable to survive their premature birth in 2006. The charity raises funds for life saving equipment for Newborn Intensive Care Units, and funds research to advance the care of premature babies for the future. They inspire people to participate in running events, providing free training, social events and running kit, and ask that each runner raises at least $200 for their cause. The group celebrates all prematurely born children, both living and lost, and aims to give premature babies a better chance of survival.
