(IE, CHY16913) Pieta House, the Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide, opened its doors in January 2006 and is the first charity of its kind in Ireland. Pieta House offers a specialised treatment programme for people who have suicidal ideation or who participate in self-harming behaviours. In particular, this centre will target the people who have already attempted to take their lives the forgotten people. This service is free of charge, but donations are welcome. The specialized treatment programme offers a comprehensive service aimed at individuals and their families who are affected by: · Multiple suicidal attempts · Suicidal ideation · Continuous self-harming behaviours We make an important distinction regarding people who engage in self-harm and those who attempt to take their lives. http://www.pieta.ie

YTD Raised: €125,663.15The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by this terminal condition. The Association cannot slow the progression of MND or change the outcome but we can alleviate the feelings of isolation and frustration. We offer consistent support to approximately 400 families across Ireland who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn. Everybody with MND has different needs at different stages of their journey and we are here to help and guide them every step of the way. The services provided by the IMNDA are immediate and free of charge for everyone registered with the Association. Key services include: • Access to 4 outreach nurses directly employed by the IMNDA and funded entirely by donations. • Access to a home care grant. • Access to specialised equipment on loan (e.g. wheelchairs, hoists, communication aids etc). • Access to funding towards counselling sessions for the person with MND and family members. Your support is absolutely vital. More than 86% of our income comes from fundraising and donations.

Bear Cottage is the only children's hospice in NSW and provide support, respite and end of life care for terminally ill children and their families. Located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Bear Cottage is a medically supported home away from home. At Bear Cottage our special children find love, care, laughter, fun and support. This holistic approach is achieved through regular respite, specialised camps, end-of-life care, bereavement support and much more. Bear Cottage is there for every child, parent, or family who needs us and they will never have to pay a cent. But there is a cost. It's currently costs more then $3.2 million a year to keep our doors open and this is raised throughthe generosity of people like you. Thank you for helping us to provide a little happiness today.

Heart disease is now the most common problem at birth in Northern Ireland. Over 200 children a year are born with heart disease. One third of these children will require further investigation and/ or surgery. The Children’s Heartbeat Trust works closely with the Clark Clinic at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children to help fund top quality medical equipment and initiatives, to ensure that children with heart disease in Northern Ireland receive the best care and treatment possible. The Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a local charity, funded solely from public donations. We provide support in a number of ways including; - Financial support for Clark Clinic - Family Support Groups throughout Northern Ireland - Parent accommodation at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children - Parent support and information networks - Research into heart disease in children Your support will help change the lives of children with heart disease in Northern Ireland.
