The Northland Community Foundation is a charitable Foundation established for Northland, our people and our causes that are important to us. The Foundation invests funds on behalf of people, charities or businesses that would like to donate back to Northland charitable causes forever. We invest the funds with our local investment advisors, Craigs Investment Partners, and deliver the interest back to the chosen charitable cause each year. This creates a legacy for the donor and the chosen charity. The Foundation also provides ‘Living Giving’ options for donors including direct donations to charitable causes, and payroll giving. The Northland Foundation is a member of Community Foundations NZ and the Fundraising Institute of NZ. We have established endowment funds with the Northland District Health Board, Sport Northland, Volunteering Northland, and many more. Hounslow Music Service is a charity that provides high-quality instrumental and vocal tuition to school-aged children across the London Borough of Hounslow. Our range of programmes supports the development of musical talent, both in and out of the school environment. We offer instrumental and vocal lessons in and out of school; whole class instrumental teaching at primary level; a structured, progressive programme of bands, orchestras and choirs; and inspirational projects with partners such as the Philharmonia Orchestra. We also manage a large stock of instruments which are available to for our students and schools to hire, and we open our music library to support school-based bands and orchestras. The HMS Bursary is a new fund to support music education for young people in Hounslow. It has been set up to raise funds to support more children to learn to play an instrument or to sing. The more money we raise, the more children we can support. £20 could buy a set of books to help a child prepare for an examination. £38 could pay for instrument hire for a term. £80 could pay for a term’s membership of all bands and orchestras for two siblings. £230 would fund 1 term at Saturday Music Academy, offering a bespoke programme including choir, theory, instrumental lessons and membership of an unlimited number of bands and orchestras. Every penny donated will reach a child, so your gift, no matter how small, will make a difference.

(UK, 1133405) Browse eventsSNAPS is an independent, Leeds based, registered charity founded in 2004 and run by parents of children with special needs, disabilities and life limiting illnesses. Families of children with special needs with one or more complex health condition face significant barriers to mainstream leisure, social and employment opportunities. SNAPS address this by providing non judgmental “whole family” based support and currently reach more than 350 families from across the Yorkshire Region. SNAPS gives each and every child, their parents and carers, unconditional friendship and is dedicated to realising the full potential of each and every family affected by disability. Many of Snaps families with children have life limiting and complex disabilities, many sadly do not live past their 10th year, therefore every day is precious. Snaps is unique in that it allows any family with a disability to benefit from its services without the requirement of a completed disability assessment as this can take years and can involve more than 100 professionals. This can mean that parents are unable to seek any statutory support, even if this were available. Through taking part in “whole family” centred activities, we challenge and reduce social exclusion, by working in collaboration with current and fledgling community groups, immobilising and sharing community support aimed at improving health, fitness and social inclusion of families of children with disabilities, special needs, and complex life limiting health conditions. Every penny raised for SNAPS is gratefully received and frugally spent running practical services, directly benefiting Yorkshire families. Snaps is largely staffed by an army of volunteers and parents who give their time generously to provide vital services.Funding is crucial to enable us to continue our service and meet the needs of a long waiting list of more than 100 parents, desperately seeking to access our life changing service. We are truly grateful for support.
