Neurocare funds state of the art equipment for patients who have suffered head injury, brain tumours, strokes, cancers of the nervous system and those suffering from neurological disease. This equipment is used in the Neurosciences theatres and on the Neurosciences wards at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. We also fund specialist training for the nursing staff on the Neurosciences wards. Since 2006 we've bought over £1.2 million worth of equipment for the Neurosciences wards. This included MIM, a piece of software that enables Neuro Radiologists to measure accurate volumes of brain tumours from 3D MRI scans which are then compared over time to determine if a tumour is growing. We also raised enough funds to purchase a trauma bed which helps move patients with spinal injuries. If you'd like to read more about Neurocare, the projects that we have funded and are currently fundraising for or would like to find out how you can get involved in supporting us please check out our website (www.neurocare.org.uk) or contact us all details on the left of this page. The Charity Meals core mission is to help strengthen and build resilient communities globally by providing hunger relief and alleviating the stress that comes with it. You may donate to the poor already, but by donating to Charity Meals, you are purposefully ensuring that thousands of vulnerable individuals have immediate and long-term access to food and clean water.
